RODGER BUTTACAVOLI
Vice President of Engineering
Roger Buttacavoli is a senior executive with over 30 years of experience in engineering and operations and was the guiding force behind the Persu feasibility studies. Mr. Buttacavoli was the Site Director at a $350 million per year, 1200 employee division of Black & Decker. He also worked at General Motors Assembly Division building automobiles in high volume on the X and F Car platforms for over 10 years. Additionally, Roger spent time working at the GM Technical Center in Warren Michigan for Advanced Product Planning and Tooling, as well as, Manufacturing and Development Staff. For ITT Industries Roger was the Director of Operations for North America where he had responsibility over 5 plants. In addition to his operations responsibilities he directed the Manufacturing Engineering groups and was a member of the Steering Committee for all product launches. Roger is well versed in Lean Manufacturing, Visual Factory, Statistical Process Control, and Six Sigma techniques. He has set up both green and brown field operations in the US, Mexico, and China. Most recently, Mr. Buttacavoli was Program Director and shipped six fully functional Nissan Electric Vehicle prototypes for a well known international EV Startup. Mr. Buttacavoli graduated from General Motors Institute in Flint Michigan (aka Kettering University) with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and an Electrical Engineering minor.
